What does it mean to be made in God's own image?Does it mean that God looks like us? I thought that being made in God's image meant that.Then I heard that it's not talking about appearence,it mostly points to the way God is.God has a heart and He has feelings.When we sin, He is hurt.When we choose to worship worldly things instead of Him, He is jealous for us.When we choose Him, He is overjoyed.The list can go on and on.We are like God in that way,but unlike us God is able to conrol His feelings and do His perfect will every time.We let our feelings control us many times and end up doing what is wrong.When we choose to ask God to help us with our feelings,we end up doing His perfect will,and it is right.I hope you can see where I am going with this.His appearence could be like ours,if it is how awesome is that? For sure we know that our hearts are the image of God's,it's proven throughout the Bible.It all comes down to a choice,do we want our hearts to become more and more like His or do we want to live a life thinking we know what is best for us,making our hearts like the worlds? Knowing that we are made in God's image should mean alot to us and help us choose Him.
